    Able to use the Edit Tool for passwords?

    Hi, I was wondering, could I use the Edit tool so if someone would enter certain text within the space provided that it can jump the player to a certain level?
    If not, is there a way this can be done without the use of the Password tab in the menu? (I would like it disabled when the game is complete in the end).
    I know how to disable it already, just having the other problem to worry about.

    Yes, you can use an editbox for this. Use the "Compare two general values" condition found under the Special icon, and check if the text of the editbox is equal to the cheatcode.

    I dont fully understand. When I try to check it and then hit ok it tells me:
    "Cannot understand your expression.
    Please correct it or choose CANCEL."

    I suppose the obvious question is - what have you got in your expression?

    First Value: Edittext$( "Password" )
    Second Value: val( "123" )
    (123 Is suppose to be a test password).

    What am I doing wrong?

    1. val("123") is a numeric value
    2. Edittext$( "Password" ) is a string.
    3. You can't compare numeric values and strings without converting them into like terms
    4. You either have to use Edittext$( "Password" ) == "123", or Edittext$( "Password" ) == str$(123) or Edit Value( "Edit Box" ) == val("123") or Edit Value( "Edit Box" ) == 123. I'd go with the first one.
