Cannot open include file: 'windows.h': Nosuch file

Im sure this is something simple and im sure ive seen the answer before? but i couldnt find it.

Using VC++ and when i build the template file it comes up with that error message.

I look in that folder and indeed it doesnt include windows.h

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Are you using the express version of VC++? If so you will need to download the Platform SDK to use the windows API.

You haven't set up the lib-paths pointing to platform SDK in the options?

Re: Cannot open include file: 'windows.h': Nosuch

Ok slowly getting there, built a blank template file..lol.

According to the help file its says:

    ---------------------------------------
Now we are going to change the name of the extension. Open the Project Settings dialog of Visual C, and select the "Win32 Debug" configuration. Select the "Link" tab, and change the "Output file name". Make it compile in the Extensions folder of you current copy of MMF2 : like this, the extension will be available to MMF immediately after compilation. Of course, rename "Template.mfx" to whatever you want.

    ---------------------------------------------

Im not really sure what im supposed to be changing and where? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cannot open include file: 'windows.h': Nosuch

Right now im changing the file properties but cannot do this in VC express as it doesnt allow it.

Anyone know of a good free resource editor that can edit the EXT.rc file?

    Thanks
