    Multiplayer Split Screen

    If I wanted to create a multiplayer game, would it be possible to have a split scrren? The game is scrolling so they would need to be at different points so having one scroll won't work.\

    Is this even possible?

    Thanks!

    Yes. It's quite possible. You'll need 3 applications. One will be the main application, and the other 2 will be sub-apps. The other 2 will be identical except each one responds to a certain player. I'll try to put together an example.

    Using Viewport would be easier wouldn't it? and faster. and easier to support more than 2 players.

    Re: Multiplayer Split Screen

    Well, in the meantime, there's a tutorial on SFGHQ about split-screen. Just go to the Tutorials section (on the navigation bar on the left), and from there to System Techniques. Scroll down and you should see a tutorial about split-screen.

    EDIT: Oh, silly me, how do I expect everyone to know what SFGHQ is, anyway, or what the url is? It's a website called Sonic Fangames HQ and here's a link for it: HERE.

    Re: Multiplayer Split Screen

    Here's the files. Open "Main" to play the game. Open the .mfa documents "P1" and "P2" for explanations. The other files are the sub-app files. MMF2 creates these aunomatically. Don't worry about those.

    Controls:

    Player 1-
    Arrow keys=Move
    Ctrl=Shoot
    Player 2-
    W,S,A,D=Move
    Space=Shoot

    Health boxes appear randomly. Be careful! Some are fake! (actually a bug)

    Click to view attatchment.

    If you need any help, PM me (I'll be gone for a week, but I will answer any questions when I get back)
