    Yes very nice, and it will work fine if you're using the in-built movements.
    But if you've made an own custom movement engine, the clothes will probably lag some pixels behind when the character is moving if you're using the condition "Always".
    But then you should make so that when the character is moving, also reset the clothes at the position of the character in the same events. If you're using a custom engine.

    Naah, it won't lag with a custom movement engine, as long as you place the "always" event bellow those which positions the character.

    However if you use fastloops in your movement engine you need to place the place clothes relative to charachter at the end of each loop.

    Why? Changes are not displayed on the screen after all events have been performed anyway.

    i second nifflas, place the clothes always at the character at the very end of the events and it should be fine.

    Re: Characters using clothes

    Here's a hint: structure your code nicely - e.g. have an event at the top that calls everything in the right order. Then it won't matter if you reorder your groups later:

    // call main loops:
    + always
    -> run loop "detect collisions"
    -> run loop "process AI"
    -> run loop "move characters"
    -> run loop "update character sprites"
    etc.

    Else if you reorder the groups of your game later, everything will fall apart (*must not have these dependencies*).
