I feel it is at last time to get back on track and into production. In fact, I am hoping that this first PBP will kick-off a new phase of extensions and packs that will fully exploit what MMF2 has to offer. My optimism is back and it is exciting to think about what future packs will accomplish. I think we will certainly be able ot outdo the initial trio of BP's.
As the acting Director of the program, I wanted to set a goal so we can get current objects finished up and ready to send to Yves so that he can archive the source and publish the pack. NOTE: I will remind everyone that the actual publication is subject to his busy schedule and available time.
I would like to keep the PBP's close in volume to the BP's because the actual publication is time-consuming itself. The file size tends to be reasonable and it gives the users less in the way of numbers of files to download over all.
We should have at approximately six to ten extensions for Standard, and, hopefully, at least one or two for Dev. Developers here who do not have the Dev version of MMF2 can contact Jeff once they have a finished extension here.
If we don't have any Dev extensions ready, we can consider putting together a special PBP for that, or all of you could consider a "lite" version of an extension for Standard and a "Full" version for Dev. Just some ideas there.
PROPOSED WINDOW FOR PBP 1:
Due by MARCH 31st:
All extensions that are going in the first pack should be registered here for inclusion. Please include the final name of the extension and current status:
1) Final name of extension
2) Development stage
3) Testing status
4) Icon, (ready/needed)
5) New extension/updated version of existing one.
Due by APRIL 30th:
All source and materials should be ready by the above date and ready to submit to Yves.
I think that allows for plenty of time to wrap-up PBP 1 and prepare it for publication. If you are starting on a new project and feel it can be finished in the above time frame, you can also note that here.
Also, don't forget that CT adds EDT's to a list on the website of people involved on this team. You will want to be sure we know how you want to be mentioned: handle/real name, and to specifically note that in this thread.
Thanks so much for your participation, and feel free to also comment on the above info/time frame as you feel the need to.
Good luck to the team and I look forward to the first Platinum Bonus Pack. The packs are always exciting and rewarding.
