simply add an "OR" condition "upon pressing a key".
For the punctation the problem is another.
This example check the exact entry in search string when space key is pressed.

Here is an example of what Angel just described. The only problem is if the word you are changing the color of is the first on the new line after hitting enter it will not be colored. This example also changes the color of every item in a list. You can change the list to whatever you want.
