Reading text from file

Hi,

I'm testing out the demo version of Multimedia Fusion 2 (great product and lots of fun).

Is there any way to search in a text file for a specific string? I know how to read data from the beginning and how to read data based on a starting point (i.e. the character number in the file). I'm looking for a way to open a text file or look at a RFT object and search for a string that I specify and than pull out a copy for use in a string object.

Without using extensions that aren't available in the demo, the easiest way I can think of is to load the file into a List object, which will split it into lines - then to use its FindStringExact() expression to see whether it exists on any line or not. I'm not sure of the line length limits for the List object, though.

Yes, I had the demo for a while ( a full 30 days!). This can be done easily with the full version but the demo version, I'm sure it can be done just not easily.
