Tutorial for a Simple Network Chat.

Can someone post a tutorial for a simple LAN Chat, where you do not have to access the internet to communicate between two or more computers on the same network??

    Thanks.

If you could, I would appreciate it so very much. Is there any cost?? You are awesome! I just need a very simple tutorial showing me step by step how to make something very simple where they connect over a lan, and where it can install on any LAN. What I mean is, it isn't hardcoded to one specific LAN. You are my new best friend! lol.

If anyone else could walk me through just making a very simple NETWORK/LAN chat app I would appreciate it so much. Thanks everyone for helping me and working with me on this.

Re: Tutorial for a Simple Network Chat.

I'm fairly sure msn added the ability to chat with people on the yahoo network.

Which causes a few interesting problems for me because I have accounts with identical names in both msn and yahoo. (It's a bt email address, and when they merged with yahoo we all got a yahoo account with our full email address as our username)

Yes, you can add MSN contacts to Yahoo Messenger and vice versa.
