Making ball move to exact direction

Hello everyone,

I've just played around with Multimedia Fusion for more than four hours, this tool is simply amazing! I really hope there will be further versions with more power one day.

Well so far I found everything I needed for a simple volleyball game. The gameplay shall be like blobby volley. The problem is now that I don't know how to calculate the direction the ball flies to after hitting with the player. I used direction -> select direction.. but I don't know which alculation to use.

Is there a easier way to set the direction of the ball?

Hi and welcome!
The simplest way to do this is to have an action for the ball to bounce while hitting the player, and MMF2 will calculate the direction for you. Just make sure the ball is set to Bouncing Ball movement.

Thank you for that quick answer. The direction seems to be okay now but unfortunatly the ball jumps to left upper corner after hitting it fastly. Have to see how to fix that, if you have any ideas just tell me

I would think that the pinball movement would be more appropriate for a volleyball game, but the pinball movement is a little erratic and it would probably be better to make your own custom movement.
