    Visibility for text objects

I'm having trouble using the text objects, specifically formatted text and strings, they don't seem to be visible at start-up. I can't explicitly make them reappear even with "to the front" being used. Can you shed some light on why these objects are different then others.

    Thanks

    Chad

Under the object's properties, uncheck "display as background".

Yeah--I really don't know why that's on by default.

I've unchecked the "display as background" - it didn't make any difference. Any other ideas? I've tried formatted and strings.

Put the file on the 'File Archive' forum, then post a link to your thread on here. That way, we can have a look at it. Once we've found what's wrong, we can then explain how you fix it (rather than talking you thru a million possibilities that may or may not be the problem, lol).
