    Workaround for "Open default browser window"??

    There was an object ODBW in MMF 1.5 which didnt make the transition to MMF2. It lets you give a URL string which opens in a browser (e.g. firefox) window.

    Any ideas of a workaround? Currently I am placing the constructed URL from a rich-text object into an HTML file with an redirect metatag, and executing the file as an external application (so window's file-type association process kicks in).

    UGLY! And I can't then say "go to this new URL" later in my program. I'd have to create another HTML file and execute that one.

    help or advice appreciated.

    Use the Vitalize! object. The open URL function works in non-vitalize apps.

    The Vitalize! object (in standalone apps) also uses window's file-type association to open URLs. This may result in some strange behaviour as the default program (associated to .htm/.php files) and the default browser are both opened simultaneously. It happens in some specific cases:
