    space bar moves it

    I have 3 buttons - left turn, right turn, straight ... a click on a button causes the (non-animated) object to turn (left turn/right turn) or move straight ahead 20 pixels in the direction the object is facing. All work fine - until I click the "straight" button - then the space bar suddenly becomes active and I can move the object by pressing the space bar - which I DONT want to happen. In fact, I can see the "straight" button animating as tho clicked on each time the space bar is pressed. Can anyone explain to me what is happening here?

    You don't have any functions that execute on pressing the spacebar? If not, then it is probably because the button is still highlighted when you pressed the spacebar.

    Yes, this is a standard Windows feature.

    Yes - it is still highlighted ... on a left/right turn, the turn buttons are disabled because player cannot make 2 consecutive turns. However, player can move straight consecutively, therefore the straight button remains enabled. How might I correct this?
    Also - if any button is enabled, does that mean that a Spacebar press is going to cause that buttons actions to activate?

    Thanks guys - i disabled the 'straight' button after it is clicked on, then inserted an Alway>Enable straight button at the beginning of the turn/move events, and it seems to work. Thanks again.
