    Differences between MMF2 and MMF 1.5

    I have some questions. I have noticed that in the picture editor, where you make your own objects, many of the drawing brushes that appeared in MMF 1.5 do not appear in MMF 2. Also, in MMF 1.5 you where able to add a new frame of animation BEFORE the one that you were working on. For example, if you were making a graphic counter and you were drawing frame 1, you could tell the program to add a new frame BEFORE frame 1. You can't do this in MMF 2. Lastly, when you tell MMF 2 to make an reverse direction, it also flips the picture upsidedown. For example, if you had an animation of a person walking right and you tell MMF 2 to make a reverse direction to show him walking left, it will make the direction of him walking left, but it will also show him upsidedown. Am I missing something here, or will this be addressed in future updates?

    1. The MMF2 graphics editor was re-coded from the ground up to be more stable, not use old Corel code and to support alpha channels and onion skinning and be more usable. Some of the old features have not yet been re-coded (CT have instead focused on features which improve the functionality of MMF2).

    2. You can right-click on an animation frame, animation frames or the direction dot and select "flip vertically" or "flip horizontally". In the case of the direction dot, you can also choose to invert frame order.

    You can paste frames in front of other frames. Copy the frames you want, right click on the frame you want them in front of, and then click 'Paste'.

    Waitaminute... how the hell do you do onion skinning in the picture editor in MMF2? o_o

    In the Picture Editor, to the left of the horizontal scroll bar, there is a slider. Mouse over that and it says 'Display Previous or Next frame'.

    I think you'll need transparency in your sprites to be able to see different frames simultaneously. It works for my character with alpha transparency OK.
