    windows system volume control

    hello

    I have been playing with audio for an app

    in an old app I found an example where the file object opened sndvol32.exe -r

    this brings up the windows system volume control in the record mode

    this is very cool, but are there more of these type of I-don't-know-what-to-call-them calls to windows or whatever?

    If so,where can I find a list of these, or do some folks just know them?

    thanx
    Dave

    Command line switches (-r, -n, and so on) should be documented on each program that accepts them. There's a list of them automatically available for programs written in MMF2 (I think it's in the Help, or at least on the forums somewhere).

    Re: windows system volume control

    For a programme just Google its name + "command line switches".

    From the FAQ in the MMF2 help documentation...
    Are there any specific command line switches I can use with a stand-alone application?
    Yes, the following command line options allow you to force your stand-alone applications to use specific graphic modes, etc.:

    /DIB => forces standard graphic mode
    /DIB3 => forces standard graphic mode, 256 colors
    /DIB4 => forces standard graphic mode, 16 millions of colors, 24 bits
    /DIB6 => forces standard graphic mode, 32768 colors
    /DIB7 => forces standard graphic mode, 65536 colors
    /DIB8 => forces standard graphic mode, 16 millions of colors, 32 bits
    /DDRAW => force DirectX + VRAM mode
    /NOVR => no VRAM
    /DEBUG => displays graphic mode in title bar
    /NOF => runs in windowed mode
    /NOC => prevents images from being compressed in memory (for internal test)
    /NOX => disables Alt+F4
    /VSYNC => forces V-Sync ON
