    MCI sound recorder

I found this sound recorder app

    http://www.clickteam.com/CTforum/showthreaded.php3?Cat=&Board=upload&Number=292651& Search=true&Forum=upload&Words=MCI&Match=Entire%20 Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=292 651

it is mmf1.5, but can be dropped into mmf2

It will not work on any computer I have, will it work on anyone else's?

It seems to begin recording (I can see some action on my hard drive light)

I also tried opening it in 1.5 and get the same errors...

when I click stop I get a message that "a parameter has been specified twice only specify it once" and no wave is saved

where is the .tmp file created while it is doing its thig?

    any other ideas, help, whatever?

    (win xp)

    Thanx
    dave

    Hmmm.....

That's interesting, good for you, bad for me

I'm at work now and it gives me the same error(s) on this box as well...

I wonder what is going on?

    Re: Hmmm.....

for some reason on my computers the line of code
    appdrive$ + appdir$ + "rec.wav"

associated with the stop button messed it up, but when i replaced it with "c:\rec.wav" (eliminating the appdrive and appdir$)it worked fine -putting the finished file right on the root directory

or with just "rec.wav" putting it in, of course, the directory I am working from

I assume I can set it up to pick the name of the file from another object

Cool, and a very simple recorder!

thanx particularly to Wbcity the original author of the app

    Dave
