    Touchscreen control

I just wanted to mention that I am doing a couple of projects which use touchscreens

MMF2 seems to work perfectly with these screens

it is very cool to be able to control graphical applications right from the screen, i.e. push a button, slide a slider, etc.

this just worked "right out of the box" I installed the drivers for the screen, and added a "hide mouse" line to my list and was good to go

now I need to find an inexpensive touch screen for myself...

Yes, a touchscreen basicly replaces your mouse with your finger. So it would a bit odd if it wouldn't work.

If you found a good tochscreen post a note :P i love to have one too.

    Re: Touchscreen control

I have been using MMF with touchscreen monitors since it was called Corel Click and Create... a LONG LONG time ago!
For those new to MMF, an image of the box...

That would be nice! You could create your own futuristic program and configure it to do things in the real world. Right now, my computer can turn on/off the lights in my room along with the TV.

    Re: Touchscreen control

    that would be cool

I have been looking at a site called control our junk.com and you can drive RC cars, move a robotic arm, do the lights and pan the cameras over the net

I want to buy the robot kit for the children's museum I work for and possibly hook up some of our exhibits in a similar fashion

controlling physical objects with computers is sort of a project we are kicking around the exhibits shop currently

I just mentioned the touch screen since I had seen a post about it previously, and wanted to document that it did indeed work...

and it is somehow "cooler" to run the "mixing board" app I wrote using your finger over the slider, and not using a mouse, as well as eliminating the mouse etc.

BTW the touch screens we chose are Elo brand and I got ones with tempered 1/4" glass because 300,000 people a year came to the museum last year. That's a lot of touching!
