    String Parser empty element?

    Hi,

I am creating a form that fills data from a string.

How can I get the string Parser to skip an empty element when using a delimiter?

    For example the string:

    name,a,,c,d

If the delimiter is set to "," and if I use listGetAt$( "String Parser", 3) it shows "c" instead of a blank.

    Thanks in advance

Are you saying that you do want it to skip empty elements or that you don't want it to skip empty elements?

This seems as a bug to me. As skipping empty elements shouldn't be the desired behavior. This is quite an old thread. but if this still occurs with the latest string parser extension you could try using the string tokenizer instead (or any other string parsing extension). You could also parse the string using MMF events with fast loops (although but be slower than having an extension do it).

has this been fixed yet? String tokenizer does the same.
