Slopes for custom made platform movement

I have created a custom made platform movement with much help from a tutorial. It is mainly built with fastloops to
give perfect collisions. I have already tweaked and added quite a few things myself, but the one thing I can't really put my finger on is slopes.

I have been working on the only thing I could think of,
namely, special slope objects and events for those.
So when a special slope collision object on my player object collides with the slope object,
the events push my player object up one pixel for every pixel moved forward.
This is very limited and needs a new formula for every angle of slope.

Could you give me a tip on how to better tackle the task of making slopes that the character can run up and down on.

I submitted an example way of adding slopes to a custom platform movement a while ago - I should really add it to my own tutorial. The theory is different from yours, using "slope detectors" on the player rather than treating them as special obstacles.

    Thanks David!

Your tutorial is magnificent and very easy to work with.
I must say it is the best aproach to platforming through MMF2 that I have encountered. A perfectly simple foundation that can be built upon indefinitely.

And this way of dealing with slopes is alot easier than what I was planning. I'm just mad at myself that I didn't think of it myself.
    Many Thanks!
