I'm looking back on my old extensions are think they need some updating.
Not many people seem to fully understand how AGBO works so I was wondering if people find it too illogical or has too many features?
I know it is a pain to search for many types of connected bricks:
-- Search horizontally for brick type 1
-- Search horizontally for brick type 2
-- Search horizontally for brick type 3
-- Search vertically for brick type 1
-- Search vertically for brick type 2
-- Search vertically for brick type 3
So I want to add a new action that searches for any type of connected bricks and will have check boxes were you can select which kinds of searches should be made (hoz,vert,diag1,diag2)
How does that sound? That way you don't have to mark bricks to deletion later. (this seems to confuse people alot)
When I first made AGBO, a game board was supposed to consist of a grid of actives that just represented the current state inside the AGBO board. This was a bad idea IMHO and I later added features to allow users to change from an active object representing a cell in the board to an active representing a brick in the board. I think this still confuses users.
Does it confuse you and what do you think can be done to clarify this?
Also planned action: Rotate bricks around a center-brick.
Do you have more feature ideas to manipulate the board's bricks in an easy way?
I personally love my MoveIt object since it makes movement of stuff so much easier (for example bricks from an AGO board 'on brick moved' )
Right now the movement is only linear.
Which kinds of extra movement modes would you like to see?
I plan on adding acceleration/deceleration.
An interpolated smooth turning movement would probably be possible somehow. Any ideas?
Haven't had time to work on this lately
