    Re: Java HWA?

I think using OpenGL HWA would be nice for cross-platforming and making Click products produce such applications, rather than having Java DX only, would be nice for use Linux/Mac/BeOS/etc users that don't like having to submit to Windows for games and programs.

This will open up a WHOLE new world for cross-platform applications.

Because if that becomes popular (which, being something from Microsoft, it's likely to no matter how much you don't like it), it would represent an instant way to get MMF-made games out to people who don't want to install extras. Think.

I think Silverlight is a good idea, being Microsoft people will probably get it as an automated update from Vista or XP or in the next service pack. I think everyone will have it.

    Re: Java HWA?

I say focus more on OpenGL than DirectX. I doubt we are gonne be able to build thing as linux executables any time soon, but it doesn't matter.
Linux people can run MMF2 exes just fine with Wine, and Mac people can do the same with their thingies.

The only issue for Linux people is DirectX. That's why I am much more in favor of OpenGL, just cause it would continue to let things work well for our linux buddies.
