Mimetype and registry key for Mozilla plugin

I am trying to replace an existing XPI installer for Firefox with an EXE installer using Install Creator Pro. The installer works fine however it won't be successful until I can add PLID values to registry as described here:

    http://www.mozilla.org/projects/plugins/plugin-identifier.html.

I usually use a .js sript within the XPI to add these items but sure as to how to do it with Install Creator, or whether it will work at all.

    Is it doable?

For example, in the "value" box how to enter...

    VERSION
    COMPANY_NAME
    PLUGIN_DESCRIPTION

When viewing the list of programs installed on Vista, the authors name is missing. How to edit the following on the installer:

    - Company?
    - Version? (seems to be version of Install Creator)

Is it possible to restart Firefox after installing and uninstalling to refresh plugins?

Re: Mimetype and registry key for Mozilla plugin

To install the keys for FireFox, for example the plugin description :

    Root key = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Key = Software\MozillaPlugins\@yoursite.com/pluginname,version=x.x.x.x
    Sub-key = Description
Value = Description of your plugin

I think it's not possible to restart Firefox from ICP after installing a plugin.

I have noticed something peculiar... when I set the platform to install for Vista only, it does not install the files on XP, but it still adds an uninstall entry to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.

    No error message?

The platform options are only for individual files, they don't prevent the installer from being executed on specific versions of Windows.
