    HWA Ink Effect Question

Is it possible or will it be possible to have multiple ink effects ?

For example, I have an explosion with additive blending that scales upwards.

As it's scaling up, I want to fade it out but retain the additive blending.

    Is such a thing possible?

Must say though, I'm impressed what MMF can throw around the screen now.

I'm porting a small shooter I wrote in Blitzmax over and it's handling it no bother.

This is a complete shot in the dark, but maybe you could try the fade out effects, if it still works.

That has always been a problem for me: Using both semi-transparency and an ink effect at the same time.
    This should be implended.

I agree completely, but until then, the Fade Out thing might work.

Although, I'm pretty sure Yves said that transitions doesn't work with HWA?

Fading stops any events working for objects so it couldn't scale up while fading.

Obviously, since during transition, the object stops "existing".

The transitions will probably be remade in a pixel shader (my best guess)

    Re: HWA Ink Effect Question

Currently, it's impossible to mix ink effects but it will maybe possible to have an ink effect and a semi-transparency.

To prevent this limitation, it is possible to merge the different ink effects you want in only one.

Or make a multi-ink effect thing (like the winamp extensions that allow many dsps) using the ink effect SDK
