Edit Edit: Never mind. I got it working. I'm not sure why, but it eventually just stopped being persnicketty. It might have just been that I needed to switch the pixel shader version declaration from 1.01 to 2...

The mask itself could be any shape and would be invisable, and it would hide any selected objects that were underneith it. <- MrMan
It would be really cool if you could get an effect like that to work.
Any way, It's really cool that your making all these effects for us, thanks. Personally I'd reeeelly love to see a zoom function like the "Zoom Object" in MMF 1.5. All I wont to do right now is zoom the screen in and out (from 1x to down to about 4x)and be able to scroll the playing feald. Yes, the graphics will get pixelated but I don't care.
The View Port Object zoomes in fine but it's only good for one screen. While the Lens object can zoom in and scroll the screen but runs like honey on a cold day.
Well thanks for reading my post.

PS:- that is a HWA?
Please, have a look at the example before asking for an effect...
I've already done a zoom effect.![]()
Hi Sphax, I did look at the example and I also read your posts. When you say that you can add an effect to a layer duse that mean that you could zoom in on a hole layer. Effectively zooming in on the level?
I'm sorry if I sound pushy but this is making me very exited.
What??? (looks in MMF2 layers) Holy crap you can!! Wow!

Yaaaay!
But if you zoomed out, would that mean it would get cut off at where the edge of the screen was?
I think yes, I'll test it.Originally Posted by LazyCoder
Is there future planing for either shaders of the HWA engine that supports shaders, to allow distortion of objects behind it? Sort of like a pixel shader version of the lens object or the panoramic object.
