Shareware licensing extension? Does one exist?

Is there any type of extension that allows MMF2 users to make their compiled apps behave like shareware games that require keycode/serials etc to be entered before unlocking a whole game? If so, will this feature also work when the MMF2 editor can build to Java apps?

I don't think so because it uses the registry.
