    Phisix extension goes mad.

    I am all new to the HWA forum so I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I was experimenting with the Physics extension and I was using hwa to smooth some rotations. The problem is that in some parts of the frame it runs fine but then all the objects dissapear and they are overlapped by a giant object. I realised that the giant object is a 'Physic' object. I will upload an example.

    The ball disappears here as soon as it begins rotating. It appears again as soon as the ball gets angle '0' again. Basically it looks like MMF2 can't handle rotations of the object for some reason. (on my computer anyway). This hasn't been an issue before so I'm wondering why it is happening now.

    As far as I know, it happens because of the floating point angles of actives (new addition that came with the HWA builds), but Phizix was programmed during the time when angles were integers. Once the non-beta hardware builds are out, I have the feeling that Daniel will update his extension. For the moment, the best idea is to loop through the objects and get the angles from the physical bodies.

    Have you tried hitting the crates? It happens when they rotate aswel.

    Well, which is completely logical

    I doubt to see this fixed before the HWA support is no longer beta. If Daniel updated Phizix to send floating point angles to actives, I doubt that would be compatible with the previous builds, and it's better if the extension favours official builds of MMF2 rather than HWA betas.

    I agree with Nifflas.
    I'm sure Daniel will update the extension for the official release.
    That's why everybody should not use the beta version to create games or applications because a beta can not be compatible with previous beta versions.

    The only thing you can do at the moment is to disable rotation on Attached objects and manually set rotation.
    Ex:
    * Always
    - Active set Angle to BodyAngle( "Phizix", ActiveBodyID( "Phizix", Fixed( "Active" )))

    Or install a previous version of MMF2.
