    Annoying sound after button clicked

    Hello everyone.

I'm building a RPG stlye game and have run into a problem. There are button objects in the game and when someone presses the button object, and then presses space "the attack button" it makes that annoying windows bleep sound, as if highlighted. If you then press outside the application and then back to the game, it goes away.

Is there a easy way to solve this or am i going to have to make my button objects into active objects.

    Thanks for any help
    Dylan

(Hard to explain the problem, pretty much after pressing the button object then pressing space it makes an annoying bleep sound)

This would be because when you click a button it gives it focus, then space is the key for pressing buttons, so every time space is pressed Windows tries to press the button.

You may have to use actives, I am not sure.

Beautiful way to explain it. Thanks for the reply.

I can change the button objects to active objects, was just hoping there was a faster way.

I would just stop using buttons and use Active objects instead- it looks really nasty when you use windows controls like buttons in a game anyway.

I second that. Drop any Buttons and replace with actives. Those On Focus Thingies can ruin your development fast.

It looked quite good on your computer- now try it under a different Windows version/theme
