    Opinions on Text Systems

I'm back with a new question. I know, seems all I do is bug you all for opinions and advice. :P But it goes to a good cause, I assure ya. :P

Anyways, back on track. I'm trying to create a text-based novel game at the moment, at a request of a student of mine. The system has been based off the popular game " Hotel Dusk - Room 215. "

Clarification: I want the text to type across the screen, with changeable speeds for the text appearing. I also want to negate the ability to move to the next line of text until the text has totally appeared.

For those unaware, this game hosts a hell of a lot of text, given that it is a mystery-murder type game.

I've looked at the String Item and such, and want to be able to keep the text stored somehow so I can access it at any time.

I looked over the tutorial section and found an INI based one, but the last time I tried using it, the program constantly would crash every time I ran the program.

So, any pointers or information would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Build 247, in case that's of help.
