    Getting a sound to play each time you lose a life

    Hi,
    I have a basic question. I was wondering if anyone can explain in great detail (pretend I know nothing) how to make it so a sound plays (that can not interrupt itself) each time the player loses a life.

    Also,I prefer to make "energy" instead of lives for the player, and make it so that you lose energy (lives) each time you get hurt. So I make it so you start out with 500 lives.

    First I want to ask- besides making a new event where you lose lives each time you get hurt (I make it so you lose 4 lives when a certain sound plays- and that sound plays when the enemy collides with you while his attack anim is playing), how else can one create an "energy bar" that doesnt require me to make new events each time I want the player to lose health.

    Use a counter instead of lives.

    Then you can have a proper health bar display and all that.

    Also, use Qualifiers for enemies, and then simply make generic injury events.
