    Is there any way to bring a video behind active objects?

    Yes I did.

    Btw I'm using Direct Show, but I'm willing to use other extensions for the video.

    Yeah, I believe it's not possible, because it's a control. Controls are basically their own window, I don't think they display in the same way as MMF objects. I have a feeling they may even have their own framerate...?

    But either way, just think of them as a kind of subapp.

    Try to set the frame background to RGB(16,0,16) and hide the directshow object at start (uncheck properties: "visible at start". Then load and play the video per events. This works for me

    Ummm... guys??? Why has nobody told him about the Animation Object???

    For me, this object is just invaluable! I use it all the time for my games!

    But just be aware that this is NOT as fast as the direct show object. But the direct show object can't display behind active objects. No, that's a lie. It CAN, but it can't display properly behind active objects with alpha channels.
