A little basic help for browsing files, please

Hey, this is probably incredibly simple, but I can't get my head around it.

First, I'll start by describing the file folder of the place the application is stored:

The root folder contains 4 sub-folders and the .exe application (well, .mfa until I build it :P). The subfolders contain text files

The application is in the root folder, and I need to create a tree of the subfolders only, using the Tree Object. I don't know what code to use to gain this. I know (or at least think) that the code "appdir$" will need to be used, but that browses the whole folder. What code is needed to make it browse just one subfolder?

    Thanks ^^

This small tool that I created is capable of doing what you need, as well as search for files within those folders. You should be able to edit this to do what you need it to.

A very nice tool, but it's not what I need. I don't need to search the files, I need the Tree Object to show files just within a subfolder where the application is stored, rather than showing everything in the root folder.

this may work for you but i'm not sure. in event editor setup the following event:

    Start of Frame

File > Explore Path (Only Folders)

(this is underneath the tree control object)

enter apppath$+"\name of folder" into the expression editor

That should do what you need it to do
