    Click and drag movement

    I am trying to create a movement where you can click and drag an object, or click it once, move it to another position, click it again and it stays there. I thought I had a solution using 2 movements, one static, the other mouse-controlled for the object:
    User clicks on object, Internal flag zero is off, set movement to movement no. 2 (mouse controlled), set internal flag zero on.
    User clicks on object, Internal flag zero is on, set movement to movement no. 1 (static), set internal flag zero off.
    The problem with this is that when there is an object with a mouse-controlled movement in the frame, MMF2 doesn't display or let you use the mouse cursor. How do I create one of these movements?

    Re: Click and drag movement

    I'd recommend setting the object at the mouses position, if that's what you need. So when the Flag is on, let the movement be static but always set the postion of the object to the position of the mouse.

    Thanks, I used your idea in a slightly different way, without using a flag, and it worked brilliantly.

    Re: Click and drag movement

    I don't understand this explanation.

    It seems to me that setting up a click & drag movement for the player should be a basic option. I've tried setting it up with several variations of "when mouse is...", but can't achieve what I'm after.

    Can someone clarify the steps in the method referred to in this thread?

    @LumpyDuck

    I can view it full size if I right click and choose view image. In Firefox anyway.

    Re: Click and drag movement

    Thank you for the response. But the view is not working for me. "View Image" is not an option in Windows. The closest I got was "View Source", from which I could probably wade through the HTML to find the text, but that seems overwhelming to me right now.

    Could you type it out in text, please? With the IF: THEN format?
