dotNET object: ? about interfacing MMF objects

Does the dotNET object interface with MMF objects?

I'm just trying to get an idea of what it can do before I break open any VB.net tutorials.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the dotNet extensions gives you an ability to insert Windows Forms controls into an mmf2 application. However, all controls will be on top of activies etc.

The dotnet extension lets you control actives etc that exist in a mmf2 frame, if it's that you mean. I haven't looked into that so much thought.

I'll try to explain by way of example...

When MMFbutton is clicked, execute code in dotNET, and use the values in MMFglobalValueA in the dotNET code.

    Does this help?

    Thanks, Coco..

Yep I think that's quite possible. You could probably call a function from MMF2 to dotNet, when the mmfbutton gets clicked. And in the function you could propably do whatever you want to.

    Good Luck

Re: dotNET object: ? about interfacing MMF objects

in the source code I'm trying to implement, it says the following:

'Requires: ftd2xx.dll (and ftdi drivers installed)
    ' kernel32.dll (windows standard)

I have these... but am I supposed to add them in the "References" area of the setup box?

Those references are compiled .Net classes. I don't know for sure, but I don't think the files you're talking about have to be referenced this way

Re: dotNET object: ? about interfacing MMF objects

I thought the ftd2xx.dll and driver came with the hardware that I'm trying to interface with... I didn't know it would already be part of the .Net thing.

I'm not sure, you should have to add all external dlls into the reference list. AFAIK only the "System" dlls and its namespaces are automatically included.

okay... after copying the code into the .net object and calling a function, it outputs the following error:

    Code:

Any ideas, or am I on my own with this one?

    thanks.
