    app bigger than screen size?

is there a way I can make an app bigger than the screen size?

that is to say when I make an app 1000 x 800 but my screen size is 800x600 it comes up as a full screen window aimed at the middle of the app and cuts off the 'extra' areas

I would like to have the app "hang off" the viewable screen area (possibly onto a second screen)

    thanks

    dave

Yes, you can make the screen scroll

that is not quite what I need to do...

imagine I have two monitors, and I want a really wide app to span both monitors.

right now when I run the app it sizes itself to fit the screen of monitor #1

I can stretch the window onto both monitors, but I would like it appear there initially

I can make a 'work around' with a sub app but I would be happier if one app could span the two monitors initially...

Well... even if there was a way to do that... bear in mind that with most people who have dual screens, the sizes aren't the same.

He might be developing it solely for himself, for work etc.

Not everyone makes apps with other users in mind, I myself have made apps in MMF solely for my use.

Anyway, as a way to do this? Not a clue lol. Im sure someone will post a good reply soon.

Re: app bigger than screen size?

yeah, I am developing this for kiosks of my own design

I have another solution in mind, but this would be more straight forward...

when I develop with distribution in mind I do try to keep 'plain vanilla' systems in mind.

This project has is kind of big, kind of long, and has a lot of components, not simply the programs but also the kiosks and the environment.

I will be in a position to share more soon, I am not sure when, but the opening of the exhibition is scheduled for june 27, so by then for sure...

as always, thanks for any input!

Re: app bigger than screen size?

You could try making 2 apps, and having the apps communicate with the Instance Communicator. (Not sure if this works w/ two different apps).

If not, I guess you can try using INIs...
