    I Particle Effect

I keep trying to get this to work but it continues to bugger up.

I need to make electrical sparks appear when a stun pellet collides with an object, but nothing even appears, how would i make it so that a shower of sparks would appear at the origin of impact and will stop after a while?

Ah creating an object at a point of collision can be difficult, i'd do it like this
create particle shower object at any where, then move it to X- (xposition of colling object 1+xposition of colliding object2)/2, Y- (yposition of colling object 1+yposition of colliding object2)/2, after that run a fast loop like 50 or 100times and during this loop, create a particle at position of particle shower object, then destroy particle shower object.
Set the particles a ball movement and set it to all directions and put their deceleration to like 20, then make it so when it stops it's destroyed.

Particle shower object as mentioned is a an active object(sprite) which the player will never see.

PHEW! hope that helped, my hands hurt now, best of luck wuth dark reality.

Fastloops stop the regular loop so that a task which would normally take a few seconds to do can be performed instantly, for example if you wanted to create 100objects in an area, fast loops can do it instantly, without fastloops it takes about 2seconds.

    Re: I Particle Effect

    So say i put:

When sample (stun zap) has stopped playing, stop fast loop?

Is it as simple as that?

    Re: I Particle Effect

    No.
Instead put: when sample (stun zap) is playing, start fastloop.

    * sample (stun zap) is playing
    - start loop "zap" 30 times

    * on loop "zap"
    - create particle at 0,0 from Origin of impact

For a nice enough effect, set the particle's movement to Pinball. Else use bouncing ball or make our own

    Re: I Particle Effect

Although, depending on the effect you're trying to get, it *might* be easier to make a single object that looks like a shower of sparks than a hundred individual spark objects.
