    Enemy Movement

So, I'm making a platformer with a couple of friends and I've hit a snag in the coding of the enemies. I can't get them to move correctly. At first I used the PMO for the enemies but realized it could only control one enemy at a time, so my other enemies weren't affected by the PMO when I added them. (I'm going to use PMO for the bosses instead though =) )

So I made custom movements for the enemies, and gave them all detectors and spread a value through them all to give them ID's.
But when I test the game, the movement doesn't work as it's supposed to. It works fine when there's only one enemy in the level, but if I have more than one enemy in the level they fall through the obstacles, either slowly or extremely fast (I've tested a variety of custom movement solutions on this)

I'm not sure what's wrong and I can't find articles or tutorials about it.

Thanks! That worked, first I misunderstood what you said though :P

EDIT// I didn't think that having more instances of the PMO would work, but it did. XP

    Re: Enemy Movement

So now that we got over that problem I've of course run into two other problems.

#1 The enemies move around and react to gravity alright. But, when I want one of them to change direction, both of them in my test level just stop.

#2. In my player movement I've added a slide function, on top of the PMO used to control the player. It works nice, but the player can slide through walls and if the slide stops in a wall the player gets stuck in the wall.

I anticipated those results and added detectors to detect if the player 'slides' into a wall, and then fastloop him out of the wall and end the slide function. This doesn't work.

I can't see whats wrong with my code in both problems. But maybe I've just gone code-blind from sitting with this for a straight week, going on two.

Here's my engine, so that maybe you guys can figure out what I've done wrong. (I also know that my code is messy and probably unoptimized as hell, I haven't had the time to comment it either. Please bear with it)

gamemaker, this is the second reply I have seen you post things you need help with. Just make a new post instead of replying into random other posts.
