    6 mb MMF2's Debugger

I would like to know why MMF2's debugger shows 6 mb, even when my application is totally empty, is this the memory required by Runtime or something?

    Yes - most likely.

    6mb is hardly anything anyway.

An empty 640 by 480 window takes 5.3 megs to display the rest is probably overhead.

My edit-time memory usage is 7.3mb and run-time (built) is 1.2mb for an empty 640x480 app.

    Nope. Build 248 beta 7.

It worried me a bit that it used more than yours.

1.2mb doesn't seem possible... were you looking at the task manager or the actual debugger?

    Re: 6 mb MMF2's Debugger

You can't look at the debugger when you run a built application, the overhead goes down a lot on a compiled file using the run-time versions of all the extensions etc.

Just to clear things up - it's the RAM it takes. An empty application takes about 300kb hard-drive space.

    Re: 6 mb MMF2's Debugger

Since were talking about the task manager it should be noted how inaccurate it is, a little while age someone made his application take some stupidly small amount of ram (like 40kb) but minimizing and maximizing it in a certain way.
