Possible to make something like this ?

    Hello,

I know i havent been there for a long time lol i am doing others kind of projects... but i though i could use MMF 2 this time..

I am currently on a project in PHP 5. Its a space multiplayer strategic game where you have to conquer systems and build ships to help you in this task. So i was wondering if i could use the power of MMF 2 in order to show probably the star map ? cause right now its only image based but i would love to develop an application that could generate constellations etc.. that would help me a lots to expand the game easily.

I wonder if vitalize is working right now.. but can this be done using java? is there a way to make clickable area so that can change the URL in the browser?

    Thanks.

That is most certainly doable... The one thing I am uncertain about is wether the "go to URL" is implemented in the MMF-Java runtime?

I'm pretty sure Open URL In Browser doesn't exist yet... Also, good luck reading any data in from php or mysql or anything. I don't think any extensions that would support such features have been converted to java yet.
They sure would be nice to have though, I agree!

Keep bugging extension authors about it!

Yes - you can use the vitalize object to do it. You can use javascript fucntions to show information (passed over by PHP, maybe Ajax) in realtime, too!

Are the java extensions made in Java? Or maybe a bit of both?

Also, Looki, how would you have javascript communicate with the actual applet? :S

Java extensions are made in Java. But you also need the C++ version to edit your application in MMF2.
