Obtain the directory from the Registry
Uses information contained in the Registry to choose the installation directory.
This would return the value: "C:\windows\notepad.exe %1", your installation program would suppress parameters and the file name and retain only its path. In this case it would be "C:\windows"
Writes the name of the installation directory in the indicated key of the Registry. This allows future updates and re-installations to find the directory.
Note : if the last root key is selected ("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER") then the installer will try to get the key from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder and if the key doesn't exist it will try to get it from the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder. You can also, if you wish, specify a different value (sub-key) name for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder : to do this, add the other name after the sub-key name and separate both names with a "\" character. For example : ValueName1\ValueName2.
