REQUEST: File Path "check for file" extension

I need an easy extension that I bet anyone could make but unfortunately Im really an idiot at that point :p

What I need is an extension where you input two strings (paths), ex:
    extension("path1","path2")

What the extension would do is, it would check if the file exists in path1, and if it does, the expression would return path1. However, if the file doesnt exist on path1, the expression would return path2.

Quite simple, hope anyone can help

But why does it need to be a separate extension?

It sounds like a tailor made extension for your product (which you normally pay for) - am I correct?

Please take a look at the File Archive forum, MechaBowser.
It may be what you're looking for.

Re: REQUEST: File Path "check for file" extension

I think you guys are getting me wrong :p

I already know how to check for a file, but I need a way to do it in one expression, and then pick another path if the file is not there. In a single expression.

Also this is just a quick small extension that I was hoping someone could make, uhm, it doesn't sound too hard to make since file-checking is already made.

Re: REQUEST: File Path "check for file" extension

Yeah I just tested it. It doesn't return any of the paths. I tried

    FileExists$( "FileExists", "1.mp3", "F:", "F:\folder")

Where 1.mp3 existed in F:, but it didn't return path1.

    It works here.
    Is F:\ a removable drive?

wait nevermind, I got it working.

Just one thing: Even though path2 doesn't exist, could you make it return it anyways? Or make a new expression for that function?

Yeah, but could you make that a new expression?
    Like "FileExistsSecure$()" or something?
So that I can pick whenever or not it should return path2 if none exists.

Also a million thanks for your help!
