    Hey, its me! I need an array tutorial please!

    So guys, its me, Oreo, and I would like someone either to make me an array tutorial for a level editor or point in the right direction where I can find one.

    This is a game I made called Springy, which allows the user to load and save from .lvl files, it's still a nice game though. It requires a special type of one dimensional array called the Byte Array.

    Sorry for my stupidty, but I have a question, how do I open .rar files? I accidently set it to open things with mmf, (heh :blush: )and I don't know how to set it back to opening things from .rar files and stuff.

    Nevermind, I got it out! :eek: I have yet to test it, I will edit my post when i do try it.


    EDIT: It's very interesting but confusing to copy to what i need.

    Sorry, i got something else, but thanks for the advice, the only thing is though that your level editor is very confusing. :grin:

    I devided them into different groups to decrease confusion, each group only has one task to perform, there are comments that say what the following events do.

    Here's a short list.

    Scrolling - Scrolls when player presses cursor keys.
    Saving - Open ups a save menu when player goe's file>save
    Loading - Open ups a load menu when player goe's file>load
    Defining Size and Positions - Used to change the size of your level.
    Selecting - When a button to the left is hit it changes a counter to it's equavilant number.
    Editing - Places that number in the grid.
    Updating the World - Wipes the entire Level and redraws it again form scratch.

    Note: Each object has an equavilant number.

    The confusing part that I meant was the fact that there's so many number and things, can you simplify it for me? I only need two objects, Mario and a block, not as many as you did. Can you simplify it for more please??? :cry:
