    Worth buying Developer edition?

    Hello.

Is it an good idea to buy Developer edition? Then I can sell my creations, right?
Also is there an new product on the way from clickteam? Because it would be stupid to buy Developer if there's a better product on the way.

You can sell your creation with MMF2 Standard version also.
You only need to add the logo and a credit line to your game.

No new "click" product on the horizon for the time being.
The next version has not yet been started so its a bit far out time wise.

You will see HWA and Java get finished for the existing versions before work on the next version even begins.

But if I buy Developer, and then later on come another product, will I get some kind of discount if I buy the new product but already have Developer?

I think it would be a good idea to credit ClickTeam anyway. After all, it's good to grow the MMF game making community!

I don't see any reason why anyone would want to not credit them really...

I am sure they'll inform us all about that when the product is done. Like Jeff said, its not even started on yet.. The discount is likely the last thing they decide upon.

But usually the discount is almost 50 percent if you have the latest best software, which in this case is MMF2 Developer.
By the time a new MMF is here, you have probably used those money ages ago anyway, so go ahead and buy MMF2 Dev when you have the money

    Re: Worth buying Developer edition?

Correct we do not know the exact discount when upgrading from MMF2 to MMF3. If the past is any indication Clickteam has been very aggressive on the upgrade discounts between versions.

To go from MMF2 to MMF2 Developer the discount is about the price of MMF2, so you don't "lose" much money.

In my experience, CT is fantastic when it comes to dealing with old customers.

If your only interest is constructing games (like me) then why get developer? What extra Functionality doe's developer have for games? Name One "Developer Only Extension" that can be used a game related environment.
