It doesn't have to be much. It can just be a logo and a "thanks". Like this:
Credit Line 1
Credit Line 2
Credit Line 3
Thanks to clickteam for .....
![]()
Its nice if people give CT credit, but one of the benefits of Developer is that you dont need to give credit. Some professional developers want to keep that side clear of "developement engine" info.
So if people give us credit in MMF2 Dev created programs, thats great, but its certainly not a problem if they dont as thats one of the features of getting Developer, the choice that you can do either

Well I just think that if I shall advertise for someone, then they should pay me for it, or they should advertise my works too.

your not advertising your giving credit to those who deserved it.
Think of it this way: No clickteam, your game never happend. And plus, I cant see one good reason to get dev just because of the lisence where you don't have to credit them. Big deal, just stick a MMF/clickteam logo at the end of your credits or something.

Hmm okay I'll give credit to them then. Btw is all books on Charles River Media about how to make things in MMF2?

No some of them are about how to make things in TGF2.
This is true. I'm a very happy MMF2 Developer user, and I've got priceless support from Clickteam when technical issues appeared during commercial projects. I've credited Yves, François and Jeff in the "special thanks" and I'll include "Clickteam" in upcoming projects as well.Originally Posted by Jeff

Here is a list of the Developer Only extensions (Native at purchase)
- Data Grid
- Dialogue Box
- Double Precision Calculator
- Explorer
- List View
- OS
- Trial Period
My personally favorate is the Trail Period Object. With this I can create Shareware games that will time out and can be opened once the Key is entered. Or, if the game is not unlocked you can hide objects from use and cripple the application.
The following extensions are part of the bonus packs for MMF Dev.
- Email, by z33z
- Masked Edit, by Chris Newhouse (xtraverse)
- Process Viewer, by Chris Newhouse (xtraverse)
- Quick Hash, by Rich Whilding (Herb)
- Regular Expressions, by Chris Branch (FireMonkey)
- SpellChecker, by Jack Webster (Jax)
- XML Parser, by Mokhtar M. Khorshid
On top of all this you can modify the application credits and copyright information (seen when you right click on the app and choose properties) This allows you to list yourself, or your development company/group as the Author. You can include the version number, language, etc...

Don't feel pressured into it if you don't want to. As gamefreak202 mentioned you don't really need to credit them much, however. I just personally think it's a good idea to do so.Originally Posted by Iharmi
Yeah, I'd have to agree. The only reason I found out about clickteam in the first place was due to the mandatory splash-screens that Klik n' Play use to have. I can understand some people releasing commercial software would not want their development tool to be listed, and with most software it's not required.Originally Posted by gamefreak202
But the thing is, games made with MMF are going to have a different user base than most commercially released games. Because they're 2D and "Indie" titles and most likely un-advertised, the only people who'd even really be aware of these games existence are those interested in retro 2D gaming anyway, computer literate, and potentially wanting to make their own 2D games.
So you may see crediting clickteam as giving them credit, or free advertising or whatever you want...
Personally, I just see it as a way of letting people know that this type of software exists, and that they can potentially make their own games. I'm so happy I found this software, and I think others deserve to know it exists too.
