Happened to me too, but i tried it again, and it worked fine...
Hmm... Are you installing this extension as the administrator or do you have the appropriate rights? I've tested it in a Vista machine here with no problems.
I'm going to upload a new installer soon and I'd like you guys to test it, please.

I tried it again, and crashed again.
My user has administrator rights, and I started the installer with the 'run as administrator' option.
I've installed other extensions in this machine with this user (like Greyhill's dotnet) without any problem. If I can help you testing something, I'll be glad to do it.

Okay this is weird.
What seems to happen is that the normal crash screen appears (MMF has encountered a problem and needs to close) about 3/4 of the way through extension loading. But it appears to be indepentant from the MMF2 window. I can use MMF as though there were no crash at all, and the COM+ object even appears on the extension list.
By the way, I use Windows XP and have MMF2 Developer Build 248.
Is everyone having problems using Windows XP?
I'm using windows vista. When I start a program now, I'm alerted that MMFD has closed...

When I first used it it would just crash - Afdter rebooting it seemed to work for a while, but now its crashing again...
strange???
I removed the comObject and all seems to be well now...
MMF2 Dev on XP Pro, here.
COM appears to be working fine for me.
