    aspect ratio question

    Hey,

So I have a game with a resolution o 480x320 (1.6:1). How can I create a fullscreen mode that ensures that the game won't be stretched or squashed on machnes with different resolutions and aspect ratios?

So, for example, full-screen 4:3 at 640x480 should scale, and do letterboxes or something?

    Re: aspect ratio question

    The simplest solution would be:

Make it 4:3 resolution and put black borders (black objects) at the top and bottom of your application!

this was pretty much the reason i suggested "Resize display to fill window size" have an option to preserve the aspect ratio; not all games use a standard resolution, and adding border objects usually requires you to modify your engine so the borders don't cover up what they shouldn't

Sure, but what happens on my 1.6:1 screen if I make it 4:3? won't it crush the game horizontally?
