    Camera View with OpenGL extension?

How would I go about making a 'virtual' camera that could move around objects made with the OpenGL extension? For example: If I make a basic cube, how would I make a camera that could rotate around it?

    Thanks for the help!

*Unrelated Side Note* - Has anyone gotten the 'Volume Object' to work? I can't seem to get it to work with most of the channels or the Master. Maybe this is a Vista problem?

Re: Camera View with OpenGL extension?

A simple way is to do as follows:
    Code:
Translate: 0, 0, DistanceToCamera <-- This can be skipped for a first person view
    Rotate X: CameraTilt
    Rotate Y: CameraPan
Rotate Z: CameraRoll <-- Unless you are doing a flight sim you can probably skip this
    Translate: -CameraX, -CameraY, -CameraZ
After that you draw all the geometry. It's very important that you do everything in this order.

    I hope this was helpful!

    *EDIT*

I am having a few problems with getting this to work. Could you maybe give me a step by step tutorial or example on how to implement this? I would very much appreciate this! Thanks a ton.

Are these variables? Commands? I must be missing something. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

The Rotate/Translate actions are under the Matrix sub-menu, if you didn't know this already. If you do the actions Zyx mentioned before you draw anything it should work.

    Edit:
I removed the collision detection from my engine and uploaded it.

    Thanks, Werbad!

I can open your app, but when I try to run it from MMF2 Dev it crashes at the start. I built it and it runs fine, though.

I am trying to make a program like Milkshape (veerrry basic ), and this might be able to help me. Thank you so much for the opportunity to look at your file! Unfortunately, I don't understand half of the stuff in your file, so I will probably be going over that for awhile.

Got it to work. Thanks a ton, Werbad! I was using the wrong order of events!
