I have asked about this in the past but have not yet recieved any clear answer. Is it possible to create a program using MMF2dev that would allow the user to plug a mic or a guitar into the line in and have the program display the pitch frequency in kHz? I would like to make a vocal training program for my students. They would use this program to tell them if they are singing on pitch. I would also use this program to create a chromatic tuner for wind and string instruments. Someone had told me to use an activex object for getting the mic input, but the main problem (among others)was that not all systems use have the same activex object pre-installed, and i could not find a redistributable for the mic activex. Also, i had no idea how to configure the object to convert the signal to a value in kHz that i could work with in MMF.
If anyone has any ideas or suggetions that they could share, i would be very grateful. If anyone can write me a routine to do this (extension?) in MMF2dev, I would be more than happy to pay for the work. In any case, I would really need to put this program together for my students, and the pitch recongition is a key part of all my future music projects.
Thanks for any help,
