Wait until console finished AND hide console

    Hi all.

I've already posted about a screen resolution problem in another thread, and although I've found a workaround, it's far from ideal, and I might decide to write the app in C++ in the end because of this.

So, although the following may not be needed in the end, it's still something worth knowing, and a solution posted here may help others in the future.

I need to run a console program with command line parameters, and WAIT until the console finishes before handing control back to the app, but I also want the console window to be HIDDEN when called.

I can HIDE the console window by using the "Console Object" to call the console, but can't get the app to wait until the console closes.

I can get the app to WAIT if I use the "Special Object" to call the console with, but cant hide the console when it's called.

Is it possible to HIDE the console whilst calling it, and making the app WAIT until the console finishes, all in one extension?

I've tried the Console Object, the File Object, and the Special Object, but can't work out how to get any of them to do everything I want.

I think you can do it with the File object's Run application. Maybe.

    That's one of the one's I've tried.
In the second input, it mentions entering (hide, wait) and then the command lines, but nothing I've done seems to get them working.
With the file object, I don't think there's a way of hiding the console when it runs anyway, as I'm sure the Hide part of (hide, wait) refers to the app hiding, rather than the console.

The only extension that I can get to hide the console is the "Console Object" when run in its own console.
So if I could get that one to also wait for the console to close, it would be great.
