Remove sound/music data files from application?

If for example, you have a sound, or song you have played in early development of your game, but then you switched it with another new sound instead. Now you don't have any use for the old sound in your application.

My question is, is there a way to remove sound/music files from the data elements if you are not using them? It seems a bit of shame that if you are not using a specific sound, it is just taking up space in the data elements. I can't find any delete button, and pressing the delete key on my keyboard does nothing when I highlight the audio I want to remove from the data elements. Any other ideas?

as long as NO instance of the sound are being used anywhere, save your app, and close MMF - reopen and sound should be gone. Thats how I get rid of them anyways, MMF2.

I think for MMF1 they are just perma-stuck there though.

No, that works the same way in MMF1. If the sound is no longer used in actions and conditions, you just have to save and reload the application. You don't even need to do it. When you build your application, MMF2 won't include the sounds that are not used (but it might be better to save and reload the MFA anyway to check it's really no longer used).
