    Smooth scrolling

Im searching about scrolling and i cant see nothing clear.

Im trying that and works nice for me.

*With HWA - 100 frames, sec.a Limit to 85 windows framerate.
*And if i change windows framerate to 60 works litle bit buggy, just nothing laggy, but run smooth. Then ,perfect.
*But if HWA - 60 frames, scrolling is laggy or buggy, nothing good.

I want to know if in other PCs will work than my pc. In my pc work nice 60fra. windows, HWA MMF2 100 frames sec.
Or if i can have problems with that framerate(100) in the future developingor something.

    englispanish
    Thanks.

EDIT> Always with V-Sync. Vertical Sincronization.

    Re: Smooth scrolling

    Sorry.
    -------------

Im trying a smooth scrolling game. Then with that options i can make smooth scrolling:

    - With HWA, hardware acceleration MMF2, Direct3D 9, aplication framerate to 100 and V-Sync.

*With those options, run really smooth, but too fast too.
*With those options, aplication 100 framerate is limited by windows XP framerate, 85. Because V-Sync is enabled.
*And if i change windows XP framerate to 60 Hz, the game is limited to windows XP framerate,60Hz, but with nice smooth scrollig.

    Then i want to :
    - MMF2 aplication with 100 frames sec, limit to 60 Hz im MMF2.
Can always run in 60hz and if windows xp framerate is 60, 70, 75, 85 ,.. etc with V-sync?. Im getting crazy lol

*I want to know too, if in 100 framerate, MMF2 take a lot CPU with many objects, or if is OK.

    -------------------
Thanks a lot for your Help.

    Re: Smooth scrolling

    I think he means this:

*Scrolling is NOT smooth with MMF2 set to 60 fps.

*But scrolling IS smooth with MMF2 set to 100 fps and v-synch, with windows set to 60 Hz. (Which essentially means windows makes it run at 60 fps aswell)

There should not be a difference, but appearantly there is.

He also wants to know if his application will use too much CPU power when it runs at 100fps and has alot of objects.
Cause scrolling is smooth at 100fps, but he is worried about eating up too many CPU cycles that way.

I don't have an answer, but I'm trying to clearify the problem
