    Reversed motion...

Could anyone please tell me how to make it so that if you press left, an object moves right, and if you press right, an object moves left? I need to do this to create a foreground that moves faster than the midground. Also, is there a better way to do that?

As far as moving the opposite direction, maybe:

    Right arrow is pressed
    Active: Set X position X position ("active")-1

    Left arrow is pressed
    Active: Set X position X position ("active")+1

Yeah the better way is to either use layers (you can set the coefficient) or move the object relative to the view (like when you set where to center the camera.. if you set it to X("Player"), you could set the background to X("Player") * 0.3 and the foreground to X("Player") * 1.5

Can you explain that in more detail?

    Re: Reversed motion...

Sure. In the frame editor, you can enable the "layers toolbar". It will show all the layers of the frame. You can add more layers, rearrange them, etc. every layer has a set of properties - among these are the x and y coefficients. They specify how much faster or slower that layer moves in comparison to the view.
(e.g. 2.0 would make it move twice as fast)

Layers allow you to have backdrops in front of active objects of another layer (which is pretty cool), or active objects behind backdrops (e.g. moving clouds behind blocks or walls or whatever.

You can even make the layers wrap (repeat), although last time I checked it was kinda buggy in some cases.
